Community Investment & Jobs

Community investment and jobs

The proposals represent a direct investment of over £100 million in West Stratford, including up to £20 million in infrastructure and community benefits, including a new primary school, community facility and health centre, the western relief road and new public parkland.

In addition to creating local employment in the construction of the new homes and amenities over a number of years, new local jobs will be created in the local centre, in local shops and businesses and at the new school. The construction process alone will create over 100 full-time equivalent jobs and an additional 120 full-time jobs.

The development is expected to generate £1.4 million per annum in additional annual council tax revenue for Stratford-on-Avon District Council and will deliver millions of pounds worth of annual spending in local shops and businesses.

You can find out more about the economic and community benefits of this scheme here in the West Stratford Economic Manifeso Report 2012 produced by Nathaniel Litchfield & Partners, the oldest and one of the UK’s largest independent firms specialising in development and planning.
